It goes without saying that life has been turned upside down over the last few months with lockdowns taking place to control the spread of the Coronavirus Pandemic. For International and European students, the impact of restricted travel both locally and internationally makes the situation even more complicated.

Having somewhere to live is incredibly important and with so much uncertainty around this is the last thing you should be worrying about. Here at HudLets we want to make sure International students are supported, no matter the circumstances you might find yourself in.

So, we’ve outlined 6 ways we could help with you with accommodation

Because we are run by the Students’ Union as a not for profit service that puts you, the student, at the heart of everything we do.

 

2. I can’t go home yet, and my contract is running out…

This is a simple one that we can help with as we can support you with extending your current contract where you are currently living. Here at HudLets we have made the decision to remove ALL fees for extensions so that you just continue paying your rent as normal.

If we can’t extend your contract then we have a whole range of other options from halls, studios or houses.

 

3. I‘m now staying for the summer until teaching starts in September…

HudLets will always look at your requirements and budget to find accommodation that makes the best fit. With the current situation we have access to a range of offers for free or discounted rent for the summer if you sign a contract for the new academic year.

 

4. I’m coming to the UK early and need accommodation…

Again, this is simple for HudLets to find you accommodation that matches your requirements and budget. We are the only place where you can compare all the Halls, Studios and Houses in one place, so you see all the options available.

5. Get in touch before you arrive in the UK…

To welcome you as smoothly as possible we strongly recommend that you get in touch with us before you set off on your journey to the UK.

We can show you accommodation online, take payments and sign contracts digitally so there’s nothing we can’t do from any distance.

 

6. Anything we have not covered?

HudLets is the Students’ Union Accommodation service based on the University Campus.

With the current UK Covid-19 guidance we are all working remotely Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm UK time. We will aim to reply to any emails or requests within the next working day.
